Biography of Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia
Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia is an Italian MotoGP World Champion and one of the sport’s most formidable competitors. Born on January 14, 1997, in Turin, Italy, he started racing in minimotos at a young age and quickly climbed through the ranks of Italian and European junior series. After claiming the Moto2 World Championship in 2018, he graduated to MotoGP with the Ducati Lenovo Team in 2019.
Bagnaia secured his first premier-class victory at Le Mans in 2022, capping the season by winning the MotoGP World Championship. Since then, he has consistently delivered top results—characterized by precision overtakes, exceptional tire management, and cool racecraft under pressure.
Off-track, Pecco embodies the spirit of modern MotoGP: fan-engaging, media-savvy, and humble. With Alpinestars since 2021, he relies on their high-performance gear—from race leathers to gloves—for every lap.
In his mid-20s and at the peak of his powers, Francesco Bagnaia continues to push boundaries and inspire the next generation of riders.
