Description

Engineered for peak performance on both track and road, the lightweight S-R7 Helmet blends cutting-edge carbon composite construction with Alpinestars’ patented technologies. Its advanced aerodynamics, optimized airflow, and precision-engineered EPS liner ensure superior protection and all-day riding comfort.
Key Features
  • Multi-composite shell: combines carbon, aramid fiber, and fiberglass with pre-preg epoxy resin to deliver lightweight strength, energy dissipation, radial strength, and penetration resistance.
  • PLASMA inserts: integrated into the collarbone recesses to provide high-performance shock absorption and help reduce injury risk during a slide.
  • Wide field of vision: provides 220° peripheral and 57° vertical vision through an optimized eye port and rider head position for improved awareness on track and road.
  • Size-specific EPS liner: uses seven pieces in six densities, precisely matched to each helmet size and its corresponding outer shell for optimized impact absorption.
  • Low-friction slip plane: Alpinestars’ patented EPS coating helps reduce rotational acceleration during oblique impacts, exceeding the ECE 22.06 Peak Rotational Acceleration standard by 80%.
Protection
  • The helmet is fitted with an ECE 22.06 homologated, Optical Class 1 shield with double-sided anti-scratch treatment. Shield thickness varies from 1.6 mm on the sides to 2.6 mm in the center, and the shield includes pins to attach a Pinlock® 120XLT 100% Max Vision lens.
  • The visor uses a secure, tool-less quick-release system with pivotal rotation to ensure a complete seal against the helmet’s rubber window trim.
  • Alpinestars’ patented A-Head fitment system allows fine adjustment of helmet height and angle, helping optimize the position of the protective structure on the head.
  • Cheek pads feature an Emergency Release System (ERS) for safer helmet removal in emergency situations.
  • Included accessories support protective performance and visibility: clear visor, Pinlock® 120 MaxVision™ anti-fog lens, breath deflector, and chin curtain.
Construction
  • The S-R7 helmet is constructed with a pre-preg multi-composite shell combining carbon, aramid fiber, fiberglass, and epoxy resin.
  • The shell incorporates an integrated spoiler and lateral winglets as part of the aerodynamic outer structure.
  • The ventilation construction comprises 10 ports: six intake ports, with three in the chin guard and three at the top of the helmet, plus four exhaust ports, with two in the chin bar and two at the rear.
  • The three upper intake ports are integrated into a slidable top vent section that opens three internal air channels.
  • Chin-bar extractor vents are incorporated into the shell structure to remove humid air from the helmet interior.
  • The chin-guard intake channels are formed to direct incoming air toward the inner side of the shield.
  • Helmet weight varies by size from approximately 2,110 g to 2,510 g.
