Developed specifically for youth motocross and off-road riders, the SM3 Youth Helmet brings adult-level Alpinestars helmet innovation to MX, Enduro and trail riding in a compact, anatomically profiled design.
Its lightweight thermoplastic shell, advanced impact-management system and high-flow ventilation deliver confident protection, cooling comfort and a precise fit that can adapt as young riders grow.

Youth-specific fit: compact shell proportions are engineered for younger riders to create a more secure, age-appropriate helmet feel on the bike.
Interchangeable comfort pads: multiple crown and cheek pad thicknesses let the fit be fine-tuned as head shape and growth change over time.
Shared EPS sizing: Youth Medium and Youth Large use the same EPS size, making the step up easier with spare comfort pads already in place.
Dedicated youth small setup: the smaller EPS and cheek-pad-only adjustment deliver a more precise fit for the youngest riders.
Market-specific homologation: separate DOT and ECE shell configurations provide the correct certified setup for the intended region.

The multiple-density inner liner ensures the helmet is equipped with the correct density in the correct area for enhanced impact absorption.
The inner and outer surfaces are engineered to minimize the effects of oblique impacts.
Alpinestars patented low-friction coating is applied to the inner part of the main EPS liner to reduce the rotational acceleration forces that can result from certain oblique impacts. This layer acts as a slip plane to help mitigate rotational energy transfer.
The patented visor release system ensures the visor is released with the correct pre-determined amount of force, effectively reducing the forces on the rider’s neck during an impact.
The 25mm soft textile chin strap provides secure retention for optimal safety.

Alpinestars in-house SM3 Youth safety standard applies a higher chin-impact test requirement than the homologation standard, with optimized shell thickness and helmet structure in the chin area. Weight: 1060 g (ECE) / 1170 g (DOT).
Emergency Release System and removable cheek pads are integrated into the interior construction for controlled removal, while 3D contoured foam forms the comfort interface.
Stainless steel D-rings are used for the chin strap closure assembly.
The helmet is built to comply with DOT certification and ECE 2206 homologation for worldwide use.
